The vert comps all year have been beyond good. Going into the finals, Marc Englehart was the only American in the group, with skaters from Japan, Belgium, England, Australia, France, The Netherlands and Brazil. With 05 World Champion, Eito Yasutoko skating but nursing a back injury, there was no telling who would end up on top.

The inline street finals were definitely one of the best I’ve seen lately and one of the hardest I’ve ever judged. Both the women and the men tore that course up – unfortunately, the course ripped a few of the skaters up too.
