France Amateur National Skateboard Championships
Contest Recap
By Eric Kirkwood
Just a stone’s throw from that world renowned symbol of romance that is Paris’ Eiffel Tower, the French Amateur National Skateboard contest was held before an appreciative crowd.
There were twenty-two riders in the contest, broken into two groups after scoring- eighteen and over and seventeen and under. The standouts in the eighteen-and-over competition included: Studiant Da Laboulaye who stuck a nice nollie 180 heelflip on the quarter pipe and then nailed a kickflip to fakie on the opposing quarter.
Alexis Greusara's stylish first run was filled with solid tricks and done with fluid, commanding style. Right from the drop, he kick flipped the box, k-grinded the rail and 50/50 the box to drop off.
Jo Chabaud did a heck of a nice frontside grab on the quarter and had nice kickflips in both runs. Diop Idris is a great name and with tricks like backside 180s over the box, frontside nosegrinds on the ledge at speed and kickflip to fakies and blunt fakies on the box, his skateboarding is great too!
In the seventeen-and-under, the standout was definitely Heinrick Prectus who had one of the best runs for either division, confidently skating the whole course with kickflips, frontside and backside 180s, 360flips, kickflip to fakies and more. Prectus has a future in the sport and we look forward to more ripping!»»View the official results from this contest
