International Inline: Putting the "World" in the LG Action Sports World Tour

How's this for an international field of competitors? The seven skaters competing in the Women's Inline Street Prelims at the LG Action Sports World Championship represented 5 different nations.

Inline superstar Fabiola da Silva lead the pack, representing for Brazil. She was followed by Martina Svobodova (Slovakia), Jenna Downing (England), Crissy Grasselli (England), Becci Wallace (England), Christina Bonilla (Spain), and Coco Sanchez (USA). All but Bonilla and Sanchez made the top-5 cut for Saturday's Finals.

The men's field was from all over the place too, with skaters from France, Switzerland, Scotland, Holland, Japan, and Thailand in the mix. The top three slots went to American skaters Erik Bailey, Alex Broskow, and Brian Aragon. Other skaters making the top-10 cut included Chris Haffey, Mathias Silhan, Jeerasak TassornJ, Jeff Stockwell, Soichiro Kanashima, Jaren Grob, and Richie Velasquez.

ASA Entertainment have deep roots in inline skating, and the ASA has always hosted the world's premiere inline skate competitions. A giant roll-in and enormous obstacles on the street course here in Dallas are tailor-made for the huge airs and wildly technical tricks that constitute inline skating circa 2007, so watch for the action to heat up even more in Finals.
